Arriving Kitchener: Monday 9 December

I arrived in Toronto on time (11.45pm) after a very bumpy flight, screaming baby in the front of Economy but after a while the noise drowned out the baby who seemed to sleep some. However, a lady across from me had a little white dog in a little carry bag! Now and again the dog would give out a high-pitched yelp: very annoying in a confined place. However, I did have a power nap for about ¾ hours. As we taxied, I could see snow on the grassed areas, snow on buildings and cars.

My bags were first off the plane! When Dianne and Steve met me (with a fox fur full length coat!) we went out to the car park, where it was -3.  As we drove through the fairly quiet streets, snow looked so pretty on roofs and trees. However, there wasn’t a great deal. Then, close to our destination it started to snow lightly – very pretty!

We got in from the warm car to the warm house quickly and were soon tucked up in bed.
